Wearing make up is a choice


Nowadays, using makeup to transform into another person has gained wide popularity. As beauty tends to be important and chased after, many will wear makeup to cover defects and become more attractive. Some even transform themselves to look like a popular celebrity. 
A beauty blogger, He Yuhong, posted her transformation clip online in 2018 and stunned thousands as she recreated the Mona Lisa on her face using only makeup. Later, she uploaded other videos recording her transformation into the woman portrayed in the painting Lady with an Ermine, singer Teresa Teng, Taylor Swift and other figures.


Many hashtags sparking debates online are related to makeup. One of these disclosed that men have an increased interest in cosmetics. In South Korea it's common for men to wear makeup in daily life and cosmetics designed for men flood the market, leading to an upsurge in sales. It's estimated three-quarters of men will go to the beauty salon at least once a week.
In response to this, some netizens said that everyone has had a taste for beauty for ages. Some say it's not necessary to wear a makeup but to just keep your face clean.
So should we wear makeup in daily life or just for certain occasions? Some voted for it as it's an ability if you can do your makeup yourself and it's a choice whether to wear it or not.
Actually, some people wear make up to have a sense of ritual, revealing their enthusiasm for life. They will change their cosmetics depending on the situation.
At the start of the work week it's a good idea for me to wear makeup to cheer up and throw myself into work; on the weekend it's necessary to wear makeup and dress up for a date. Alone at home, you might wear makeup when you cook for meals, change it when you watch TV and remove it before going to bed.

    Hello, I'm Tracy. Thank you for sharing your thoughts about makeup to us. For me, I think makeup can make you looks more energetic and give others a good impression. Although I can't get up early to makeup everyday, I will try to makeup if I have enough time.

    Most of people think that girls do their makeup is a polite way to others, but boys do the makeup is weird. I think whether you are a girl or a boy, do the makeup or not is up to you. No one can judge if you are makeup or aren’t makeup. For me, makeup is a motivation to go out. However, someone think makeup isn’t comfortable, then they don’t do that. Everyone has their own opinion.
