Over the past 500 years the number of languages spoken in the world has halved ,and the number is expected to half again by the end of the current century . These figures are deeply alarming for many who fear that huge portions of human culture will soon be lost forever. Such people frequently call for more to be done t o protect languages at risk .The following will discuss this issue and give an opinion. The relative importance of natural talent and training is a frequent topic  of discussion when people try to explain different levels of ability in,  for example, sport,art or music.
